The researchers aim at reading and understanding these processes using the gender differences categories. The studies, the activities of counselling and training carried out by the Association at national and international level belong to the different following fields:

Gender violence: violence against women, children witnesses of violence. Activities are analysis and monitoring of this phenomenon, of institutional interventions and monitoring of activities of women associations to prevent and fight the violence;

  • Professional work: carrier, gender pay gap, gender competences and crystal ceiling, work organisation systems, women and decision making, equal opportunities in the public and private sectors;
  • Everyday life: needs and interventions in the work life balance between women and men, schedules and models in services supply, planning of time and schedules in town organisation;
  • Social reproduction and identities transformations: gender identity, reproduction processes, parenthood, family roles and family networks, changing and continuity within the historical reconstruction and social analysis of feminism and women movement;
  • Migrations flows and citizenship rights: women and men life conditions within the migration flows, urban insecurity for migrant people, work life balance, maternity and abortion.

Training course, committed by the Municipality of Varese to the Department of Sociology and Social Research of the University of Milano Bicocca, addressed to shelters and anti-violence centers operators and social workers belonging to the inter-institutional anti-violence network of Varese.

Lessons concerning “Building autonomy: the economic empowerment of women victims of violence”.

2019/2020   It is a business to say No to violence!

Identification of a methodology to support autonomy and access to the labor market of women having experienced violence, through a systematic survey and a comparative analysis of stories, strategies and methods tested at the “Casa Lorena” anti-violence center (Cooperative Eva) and at some “Spazi Mamma” (Save the Children).

Objective of the project: To support the employment of women victims of violence: an intervention model from the experience realized by the “Casa Lorena”; strengthening of its income producing activities; training for women followed by the anti-violence centers.

2019/2020  Viol.E. – Violence and male power, an inseparable economic combination

Objective of the Project: to combat and prevent economic violence within the couple through analysis of the phenomenon; strengthening of the actors skills of the local anti-violence network; awareness raising of citizens and stakeholders.

Leader: LeOnde, in partnership with LeNove.

Funding: Department for Equal Opportunities – Presidency of the Council of Ministers.

Participation as experts in research, training kit design, local training and awareness raising actions.

Project leader: Department of Psychology of Sapienza University of Roma, in partnership with Postal Police, Ministry of Justice and Educal Association.

Funding: Department for Equal Opportunities – Presidency of the Council of Ministers.

Objective of the project: Prevent violence and gender discrimination in digital communications through awareness raising, education and training of students, teachers, MIUR representatives and Postal Police operators.

2019/2020  S.A.Mi.Na. – Anti-violence Strategies for Migrant and Native Women

Participation as experts in project monitoring and evaluation.

Project leader: Ananke ONLUS Association, in partnership with ASL 3 Pescara, Fond. Caritas ONLUS of the Archdiocese of Pescara-Penne, VIS – International Volunteering for Development.

Funding: Department for Equal Opportunities – Presidency of the Council of Ministers.

Objective of the project: To improve and strengthen support to migrant women having experienced violence through: professional improvement of the local anti-violence network; training and experimentation of the “welcoming mediators”; awareness raising meetings with migrant and native women; school laboratories; strengthening the network.

2018/in progress  Awareness raising and training interventions within the provincial anti-violence network in the five social health areas of the Arezzo Province

Funding: Arezzo Province

Objective of the project: making public and private structures and services involved in fighting against gender violence more effective by comparing the procedures and actions implemented by public institutions, the security system, the police and the anti-violence centers of the Arezzo Province, according to the aims of the Arezzo Province “Gender Anti-violence Program”.

On the implementation of the Council of Europe Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence (the so-called Istanbul Convention) in Italy.
